Starts Tuesday, March 16th (Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) Starts Tuesday, March 16th (Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 6 weeks) NOTE: This series start date could change if COVID numbers are at a high level in March. Registered students will be notified via email with any updates. Thank you for your understanding. Learn metalsmithing in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Begin by learning how to handle the necessary tools and equipment. You will then set out on several projects, making rings, bracelets and earrings, and perfecting skills in techniques like forging, texturizing and soldering. A class overview can be emailed upon request. Non-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156.   Fee does not include materials. Supply kit available from instructor for $10 when series begins. Additional supplies available to purchase separately as needed for class projects. Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens. About the instructor: Kim Round got her degree in art at Florida State University and taught jewelry workshops in Tallahassee, FL before making the move back home to Maine. She has been teaching Beginning Metalsmithing and other workshops at Artascope since 2016 and is thrilled to be part of a friendly & creative community. She is a member of the Maine Crafts Association and her work can be found at the Center for Maine Craft, Lisa Marie's Made in Maine and Archipelago/The Island Institute store.
