Press release from the City of Mentor: November 29th, 2021 If you or someone you know are facing eviction and require assistance, legal advice, or advocacy, contact the Fair Housing Resource Center. This Lake County based group offers no-cost legal assistance to Lake County residents who face eviction. The Eviction Diversion Program assists tenants facing eviction as well as assistance to prevent eviction when possible. FHRC staff are available to explain the eviction process, outline options for tenants being evicted, and provide information and referrals for a number of community-based services, which can further assist with locating housing, providing financial assistance for rent and security deposits, and offering legal assistance.
