Description
AURORA, IL — A two-story, multifamily house in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street caught fire early Sunday morning. Though the cause of the fire is under investigation as of Tuesday, an adult and a child were displaced, according to the Aurora Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the structure fire around 1:55 a.m. At the time, the house was not occupied, officials said. A total of 24 firefighters were sent to the burning house, and the fire was under control in about 20 minutes.
Engine Company firefighters deployed hose lines while Truck Company crews searched the building. Officials said in a news release Tuesday afternoon that no residents or firefighters were injured in the process.
