Copper Hill to Host Art Sale to Benefit Mental Health Charity One-day sale to feature paintings from artists with mental health conditions Copper Hill Independent Living and Learning Center, a charitable residential community supporting adults with mental health conditions, will be hosting an art sale on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Copper Hill Independent Living and Learning Center, 144 Copper Avenue, Vista, California, 92083. All artwork available for sale has been created by former Cooper Hill residents and artists associated with the Creative Arts Consortium, a charity focused on the promotion and development of artistic talents in individuals with mental health disabilities. There will be a selection of over 100 portraits, landscapes, murals and abstract paintings composed with acrylic paint on hand-stretched canvases for sale in a wide variety of sizes ranging from 18x24 inches up to 6x8 feet. Copper Hill is hosting the art sale to shine a spotlight on the immense talent of artists who struggle with mental health issues, which will directly benefit the independent living and learning center and its residents. The event is free to attend and painting prices start at just $50. For more information, please email [email protected] About Copper Hill Copper Hill Independent Living and Learning Center was founded in the 1970’s by parents of adults with mental health conditions, who were struggling to find a facility that catered to their needs while still allowing their children to live independently. Copper Hill’s core belief is that people with mental illness all deserve a safe place to live where they can grow and thrive. The home is run exclusively by volunteer staff and governed by a board of directors that ensure each resident receives the support they need, with the aim of preparing them to eventually transition from the home to living independently on their own.
