Press release from the Guilford County Government: 11/29/2021 Before the Thanksgiving holiday we touched on the impact that remaining active can have on mental health. This week we are providing resources for those who need more assistance. As many of you know, Guilford County has opened a new Behavioral Health Urgent Care that has options for mental health, however if you feel that is not the right choice for you, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has an affiliate located right here in Guilford County. NAMI Guilford is a one-stop-shop for support groups, educational resources, upcoming events, and other ways to not only learn about mental health, but advocate for it. Their Mobile Crisis Services hotline is available M-F from 8:30am-5:00pm at 1-877-626-1772, or you can text "NAMI" to for 24/7, confidential, free crisis counseling.
