SHELBY COUNTY, AL — A 23-year-old man died when he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on Valleydale Road Tuesday. Bailey H. Chesnut of Birmingham was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a WBRC report. The incident occurred just after midnight less than a mile south of Hoover, the WBRC report said.
