OVERVIEW We are looking for a Kennel Caretaker for a growing non-profit organization. We are a Rescue Sanctuary for dogs that has been in the industry since 2004. Our Mission is to rescue dogs from shelters, rehab them and find them permanent homes. We have a very welcoming and family type of work environment; one that is hard to find. Our facility, located in Valley Center, has a park-like feel, with trees, open land, and picnic tables. The environment is very family oriented, the people are supportive of each other and work together cohesively as a team. REQUIREMENTS The incumbent must have a positive, friendly disposition and must love animals. Experience working with large dog breeds is a must, with a minimum of 3-5 + years of kennel and dog handling experience. Duties will include, but are not limited to: • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels • Daily feedings and watering of dogs • Handling of trained and untrained dogs • Observing dogs for abnormal activity • Administer prescribed medication and first aid to any injured or sick dog. • Documenting care and treatment of each dog Pay is commensurate with experience.
