Paid vacation, sick, and holiday time available after 90-day introductory period. We are seeking Section 3 residents for this position. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FORKLIFT DRIVER: Transport materials to proper destination within production facility. Maintain a clean work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. INSPECT/REPAIR Must be able to read and interpret material specifications and apply the appropriate criteria for inspection of product. Must understand the standard metric measuring system and how to use the appropriate quality tools for proper inspection of product to quality standards. Must be able to efficiently identify defects in product using visual, sense of touch, and quality tools. Will make sound determinations on severity of defects and decide whether to repair or scrap materials. Perform proper repair of product required to meet quality standards. Read, understand, and able to use MSDS on repair materials. Support production requirements to meet on-time delivery standards. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS FOR THE FORKLIFT DRIVER: One year of production experience or similar in an assembly, carpentry or detail-oriented environment is preferred Two to three years of work experience Knowledge of safe work practices High School diploma or GED preferred Ability to read a tape measure Math skills Ability to read/write Ability to operate various tools Ability to work in a team environment KEY DUTIES OF THE FORKLIFT DRIVER: Move materials to proper stocking locations. Organize and maintain materials in proper locations. Move materials from storage to production areas as needed. Inspect materials for count and damage.
