The Facilities Technician is responsible general facilities work for manufacturing facilities performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, preventative and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain and repair production machines and facility’s equipment. • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs when required to support manufacturing, as well as scheduled repairs (preventive maintenance) for production equipment. • Perform mechanic tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical installation, HVAC, refrigeration, minor electrical installation, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments using variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment. • Participate and perform remodeling, or other repair and facilities activities such as painting, carpentry, caulking, and sealing and like tasks as assigned • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned Qualifications: • Basic knowledge and experience with refrigeration, HVAC, electrical system, simple controls, plumbing and mechanical systems and facility type repairs is required • Ability to read equipment wiring diagrams for diagnosis purposes. • Understanding of good manufacturing and safety practices. • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience is a plus • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Education: • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
