Assembler/Builder (Santa Clarita) compensation: $15 an hour plus overtime @ time and 1/2 Paid weekly (higher rate based on experience) employment type: full-time Marathon Industries is a medium to large sized manufacturing company located in the San Fernando/Santa Clarita valley. The company employs several hundred employees engaged in the production and distribution of truck bodies and transportation equipment. Marathon Industries is an E-Verify employer. Valid ID is required Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 /hour (significant overtime usually required/available) Required education: High school or equivalent Required experience: Ability to use small pneumatic tools Further requirements and duties: Adherence to vigorous safety procedures. Preform activities per directed standard operating procedures and supervisors’ directions. Preform assigned work in a neat way, to exact stated specifications. Bilingual preferred. Sufficiently able to read and understand and carryout verbal and written instructions. Physical ability: This position involves prolonged standing, repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, and pulling. Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors are required. Incumbents are also required to repetitively lift as much as 80 lbs. Hand dexterity and strength are required. Hearing protection and safety glasses are provided and required to be worn. Additional safety equipment may also be provided based on specific assignments. Work is preformed inside and outside a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal Southern California outside environmental conditions. Assembler Apprentices stand while performing their respective job functions. Use of ladders and scaffolding may be required.
