Hello, My name is Stuart. I am looking for an experienced and honest auto mechanic for some side work. I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 79,000 miles on it and it has what I think is something wrong with the suspension related parts. When I hit the brakes abruptly at medium to lower speeds a get a clacking noise so hoping that this could be diagnosed specifically without having to go to a shop and throw thousands of dollars at this and it's not even guaranteed to solve the issue. Also had a side mechanic change my transmission fluid and it ended up running worse after he did this. When its cold at low speeds with light gas pressure it shifts very hard and slow in gears 1-3 so not sure if its mechanical or if something was adjusted electronically(not sure how changing the fluid and pan could have made it worse).
