Alterman is seeking Mechanical Installers to join our Industrial Division in Creedmoor, TX. The Industrial Division specializes in installing and servicing Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Alterman self-performs concrete work, mechanical piping, and heavy equipment machinery. Primary responsibilities for these positions: • Concrete Forming • Rebar Placement • Concrete Placement and Finish • Above and Below grade piping • Heavy Equipment Operation • Excavation, Backfill, and Grade work • Operating power and hand tools Experience: • Water plant operation experience preferred but not required • Minimum 1 year experience in concrete work, mechanical piping, and heavy equipment machinery. License/Certification: • OSHA 10 • CDL Physical Demands: Work requires alert individuals with good balance, sight, hearing and physical strength. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing up to 50 pounds of materiel and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. Climbing to include, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps at high elevations as well as hoisting up and down in a bosun chair. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving heavy equipment, mechanical parts, confined spaces, and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
