Annual fund raising event to fund an educational fun filled day riding a bike in the CVNP for urban kids from Akron & Cleveland Cycling Schools is an all-volunteer program that provides a day of bicycling along the Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park for 4th, 5th and 6th graders from local urban schools. We provide elementary-age children the opportunity to experience bicycling as a safe, challenging, yet enjoyable physical activity in the most natural setting, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The experience of riding in the park is completely free to the students who participate. Cycling school provides all of the bikes, helmets, snacks, and transportation to and from their school. For those students who cannot ride a bike there is also a hiking option to allow everyone the opportunity to explore the outdoors away from any urban environment.
