December in Kimono: Wear Authentic Japanese clothing provided by Boston Kimono Academy WAGOKORO A special treat for a truly authentic experience! Come experience wearing real, authentic Japanese Kimono. Let the teachers of Boston Kimono Academy WAGOKORO dress you in your kimono of choice. From casual komon, to formal houmongi, you can wear the kimono of your choosing! Our kimono dressers have prepared various kimono options for every gender and age. We will prepare various sizes, but if you have any concern about finding the right size for you, please feel free to reach out to our lead kimono dresser, Ara Mahar, at this email: [email protected]. We can review with you our various sizing options. We recommend arriving early for your time slot so that you have ample time to choose the kimono you would like to wear. Please kindly understand that if the rental kimono are damaged or soiled in any way, you will be responsible for paying the cleaning or repair costs. We will have a volunteer student on staff to take pictures throughout the event. Please feel free to have them take pictures of you with your phone or digital camera at any time before or after the tea ceremony. Each session is limited to 3 people to maintain safety. Guests will have around 1 hour to wear their kimono and take pictures around the Showa Boston campus. There is a Japanese garden and Japanese tatami rooms you can use for photos.
