Performs a variety of cleaning, preparing, and painting operations on mechanical components. Determines method and sequence of operations where complete information is not readily available. Performs duties according to engineering documents, sketches and / or directions. Utilizes hand and power tools, brakes, shears, band saws, torches and lifting equipment. Receives direction and work schedules from the Lead Shop Team Leader and performs duties under minimal supervision.
