Description
Hello, my name is Danny. I want to put together an old school rock n roll band with some blues roots, reminiscent of something that might have been born a long time ago with modern aspects and elements infused into it. My vision is it consisting of (ideally) two guitars, a drummer, bass, and keys. I’ve always loved the roar of a rocking rhythm section. There’s nothing like the feeling of being chased down and being pushed to take a song to new heights by a rhythm section. The two guitars are to share rhythm and lead playing. I play guitar, as well as slide guitar, so only looking for one other. I don’t sing (trust me, no one wants to hear that) so I definitely need some singers.
I’m 24 and I’m looking for people around my age, say maybe 18-30 (not super set on this, for the right person and musician any age could work.) As far as songs are concerned, I would want to do mostly originals, but some covers would definitely be fun. I write so that’s not a must, but a songwriting partner would be nice, if nothing else just someone to bounce ideas off of.
Some of my biggest influences are:
Stevie Ray Vaughan, Allman Brothers Band, Gary Moore, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Rival Sons, Albert King, BB King, Eric Clapton, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule), Grand Funk Railroad, Philip Sayce, Gary Clark Jr., The Marcus King Band, Walter Trout, Joe Bonamassa, The Black Crowes, Beth Hart, Doyle Bramhall II, Donny Hathaway, The Eagles, Peter Green, Jeff Healey, John Mayer, Kirk Fletcher
I listen to a lot of stuff, but I feel the list might start getting obnoxiously long if it isn’t already. If any of this interests you, please reach out and let’s see where this goes.
