Happy Holidays Craigslist! My art is an exploration of ideas, and means of solving problems. I'm a classic over-thinker, but creating art eases that burden. A broad stroke is passion. Shading is clarity. Moods and songs sometimes translate into colors on a page. Each line I put down is a weight lifted off of me, and a record of sorts of thoughts running through my mind. Growing up, I always enjoyed art classes because they allowed uninhibited expression, an escape from the day-to-day difficulties I faced as someone who suffered from chronic illness, and a traumatic home life. I continued to take art classes through out school, and eventually studied art history in college to build a strong foundation, and minored in art to build my practical skills. Some pieces I entered in the school's art show were selected, and a lively charcoal piece won Best of 2D. That piece was described as expressive, lively, and painterly. I've worked on large drawing projects, oil/acrylic paints, watercolor and most recently I've been exploring digital art. Moonlighting as an artist is my hope.
