Description
Join us for an evening with Brooklyn Solar Works and NYC Mesh as we discuss the many benefits of solar power and community owned internet.
Installing a solar system is one of the best ways that a homeowner can reduce their impact on the environment, increase their home's value, and save on monthly utility bills. Solar power has long been underutilized in NYC due to the unique challenges or our urban building stock. Brooklyn Solar Works has been a pioneer in adapting solar technology to meet these challenges and make solar power a reality for New York homeowners. They will discuss how solar systems work, the installation process, government incentives that can substantially reduce the upfront cost, installing solar on historic and landmarked buildings, and the overall benefits of going solar.
We will also be joined by NYC Mesh, a non-profit organizations that is working to improve internet access and quality in New York City by developing a community owned network. They will discuss how you can connect to their network to bring fast, secure, and reliable internet to your home without the frustrations of using New York's primary providers.
