The historic house will be open for free tours on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am to Noon, unless it is preempted The historic house will be open for free tours on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am to Noon, unless it is preempted by a special event on that date. (Note: we are closed for the months of July and August)If you cannot make the open house, we also give tours by appointment. The Friends' mission is to support the ongoing care and restoration of the historic Abraham Staats House and its grounds, and to research and interpret the history of the property and its people.  The goal is to foster an understanding of this history and its relationship to the history of South Bound Brook, surrounding communities, the State of New Jersey and our Country.  To this end, the Friends develop and present public and educational programs, exhibits, publications and presentations.   E-mail: [email protected] Website: www.staatshouse.org
