2nd Chances.Life Presents our 6th Annual Holiday Give Back Event where we provide toys, food, clothing, scholarships, and other resources. With the support of local leaders, volunteers, churches, and local groups we're excited to announce our 6th Annual Holiday Give Back Event. The event has grown tremendously over the past 5 years as we've assisted over 1,000 families in Terrell, TX. Our goal this year is to cast our net throughout Kaufman County and provide assistance to any family in need this holiday season. We're grateful to have our faithful community partners: Two Women on a Mission, Jersey Dru's, City of Terrell, BMT Community Center, More With Us, Serenity Corner and the many volunteers, donors and community leaders. Every year these organizations and community leaders show up without question to ensure that our community needs are met. Scheduled events include: Toys (All Ages), Prizes, Food, Music, Special Guest, and Scholarship Recipient announcement. Scholarships are for graduating seniors only. In order to qualify the senior must register and submit a 1500 word essay to [email protected] by December 19, 2021. (See flyer for details) This year is special as it's our 6th year but more importantly we will honor our dear brothers Antoine Simmons and Byron Mims. Their lives was cut short on 2020. These men played a huge role in the establishment of the Holiday Give Back. Join us as we also celebrate their lives and contributions to the community. *Due to Covid are taking necessary steps and precautions to ensure everyone is safe during the event. We are requiring all guest wear mask. In addition, we will have volunteers taking temperatures as guest enter the venue. Lastly, we ask that family members enter together and practice social distancing when near other families or individuals. *Volunteers must register here at eventbrite.
