Turtle in need of a new home

He/she is in need of a new home. Was rehomed to my family from a friend that wasn't able to take care of him/her & now my family is in the same position. We wish we were able to care for this turtle the way it needs but we are clueless when it comes to turtles. (HE/SHE IS ON THE BIGGER SIDE! About the size of a hand)
