Join us Wednesday, December 8th from 12-1pm AND 1-2pm at the Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) or on zoom for the monthly General Meeting. We have an action packed and very special meeting to celebrate the holidays with our "Winter Solstice Celebration"! We will also announce the Flying High Award recipient! The Flying High Awards began in 2002, to celebrate the extraordinary women who have made significant contributions to the Missoula Businesswomen’s Network and our community. The MBN Awards Committee, chaired by the President and Past-President, has presented over 50 members with this award. The lunch menu will be announced soon with a link to purchase your lunch! PLUS an hour-long celebration of the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, it takes place between on December 21 this year. Cultures around the world have long held feasts and celebrated holidays around the winter solstice. Fire and light are traditional symbols of celebrations held on the darkest day of the year. The winter solstice is the day of the year with the fewest hours of daylight, and it marks the start of astronomical winter. After the winter solstice, days start becoming longer and nights shorter as spring approaches. We will be extending the General Meeting for our celebration with yummy treats and pottery painting! Let your creative side flow as we socialize and celebrate the many friendships and connections we have made through MBN! We will have several choices of pottery pieces, all provided by the ZACC! The cost to participate in the "Winter Solstice Celebration" is $5.00 to cover a portion of the pottery cost, which you will be able to keep! Please RSVP by signing up by Wednesday, December 1st so we have enough pottery for all. You must register to do pottery. There is no charge if you are not doing pottery.
