This is to ensure better distribution of tiebreakers and to create more diverse pods. Scoring System Win - 3 points Draw - 1 point Loss - 0 points Bye - 3 points If a round is a tie after time in the rounds, points for a draw will be given to every player in the pod, dead or alive Tiebreakers are determined by the following: Points, Win Percentage (byes not counted), and opponent win percentage Amendments to the MTR: Loops: Magic Tournament Rules, 4.4: “A loop is a form of tournament shortcut that involves detailing a sequence of actions to be repeated and then performing a number of iterations of that sequence. The loop actions must be identical in each iteration and cannot include conditional actions (‘If this, then that’.)” Normally, “Non-deterministic” lines of play (such as those involving The Gitrog Monster and Dakmor Salvage, and “Twister Loops”) are not allowed to utilize the loop shortcut under the MTR. In order to accommodate these common cEDH strategies, these loops will be considered shortcut-able. If a player attempting to execute a loop is incapable of concisely communicating the loop to a judge, they may not be allowed to perform the loop. Outside Assistance Penalty: The penalty “Outside Assistance” will only apply in either of the following scenarios: When players in a match asks for or refers to information from a person or medium outside the current match other than a judge. When a player not involved in the current match, spectator, or any other person offers or otherwise communicates information to a player engaged in a match. The above changes to the MTR allow for “Table Talk” among a pod. Legal Gamepieces: Playtest cards/Proxies will be allowed under the following conditions: Cards must clearly display card name and card text. Handwritten playtest cards must be legible and may be subject to approval from the head judge. Cards must clearly distinguish themselves from official MTG game pieces. Unofficial cards that attempt to pass themselves off as official product are classified as counterfeits and are not allowed. “Gold-Bordered” Mtg cards will be allowed, provided the card backs are not distinguishable in a sleeve.
