Come out support your local Talent in as they sing and perform some of Broadways most Famous Musical numbers! Fall Youth Theater and Performing Arts CandiNews Productions provides youth theatre experience designed to awaken the creative spirit and imagination through acting, musical theater, and movement in a safe, non-competitive environment. We’ll work on all aspects of theatre including acting, dancing, and music. Our goal for your little one is to provide them with the opportunity to have fun exploring the creative arts and discovering new talents while building on those they already have! This semester we will belt out tunes to some of our favorite musicals such as Wicked, Matilda, The greatest showman, Hamilton and more! This class invites young artists to explore their talents and skills as musical theater actors in an original musical showcase. Candice Newsum holds a B.A. in Speech Communications and Theater Arts from Dillard University and MFA in Acting from the University of Florida where she served as fellowship Theatre Arts professor. Candice has performed all over the world in such places as St. Petersburg, Russia and toured most of Brazil. When she arrived in Los Angeles in 2008 she made guest appearances on ER, Greek, House, BET’S “The Boot” and MTV “From G’s to Gents”. Her most recent work includes guest appearances in ABC’s“The Doctors” and schmoozing with host Bill Engvall on the hit game show ‘Lingo’. Candice is currently a Speech and Theater Arts Teacher at South Cobb High School in Austell, GA and a Special Enrichment Camp Instructor in the City of Decatur GA.
