WAUKESHA, WI — The Fotsch Family Foundation announced Monday it will match any donation given through Saturday to the United for Waukesha Community Fund up to $1 million.
The Waukesha County Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and the Waukesha Education Foundation established the United for Waukesha County Community Fund to raise funds for those affected by the Nov. 21 Christmas parade disaster. All donations and the match will go directly to the United for Waukesha Community Fund.
"Family is not just biological," said Nana Fotsch, president of the Fotsch Family Foundation, in a statement. "Anyone you love and care for is family. And to us, Waukesha County is family. That's why it was important for us to contribute to this fund."
The Fotsch Family Foundation is a Waukesha County-based private foundation. The foundation supports Catholic and educational causes, as well as social services throughout the community, it said.
Anyone who wished to show support was asked to visit the donation pages.
