OAK CREEK, WI — A fire at a multi-family building in Oak Creek on Sunday morning has displaced five people across two units, the American Red Cross of Wisconsin announced on Twitter.
CBS 58 reported the Red Cross said the fire occurred near Drexel Avenue and Wildwood Drive. Two adults and a child in one unit and two adults in another unit needed emergency housing and assistance following the fire, the report said.
Volunteers from the Red Cross and help from the public are working to bring emergency relief to those affected by the fire, the organization tweeted Sunday.
Thousands of people in Wisconsin have been aided by the Red Cross' home fire campaign that works to install fire detectors and improve a family's response to a fire, according to its website.
