NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a shooting Monday morning after learning that a teen "struck by gunfire," walked into the hospital, New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway said. Shumway said police got a call that a 16-year-old who has been shot went to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment. He said police did not get any 911 calls reporting gunfire nor a Shotspotter alert. No other details were available. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded and are continuing to investigate, Shumway said. This post will be updated if any new information is made available.
