HAMDEN, CT — An 18-year-old woman suffered a minor injury in a shooting Saturday night in Hamden, according to police. Police responded to the area of Manila Avenue and Oregon Avenue around 9 p.m. on reports of shots fired, according to Det. Sean J. Dolan. An investigation found that a vehicle was struck during gunfire and an 18-year-old woman suffered a graze wound, according to Dolan. The victim had a minor injury as a result of the shooting, Dolan said. Police recovered ballistic evidence at the scene. The preliminary investigation found that an occupant of the struck vehicle was the apparent target of the shooting, Dolan said. The shooting remains under investigation.
