Courageous Me - Stories and Songs concert We will be rescheduling as soon as it is deemed safe to gather in larger crowds and I am able to reschedule at the venue. You will see temporary placeholder dates until we can schedule for real! Be well and Stay safe! Come join Michelle as she plays some songs from the last 10 years and tells the stories behind the songs on her Courageous Me album as well as from songs she has written over the years. Her hope is that by sharing her experiences, this will help others that are going through or have gone through similar things. She is also donating part of the proceeds to the Pulmonary Hypertension foundation to team PHenomonal Hope in honor of her 7 year old niece, Callie, who is on lifelong heart medicine to stay alive. Callie's sister Reese, 2 years older, has to watch her sister go through this. This disease affects the entire family. Michelle will be telling Callie's story and the inspiration behind a song she wrote when Callie was in the hospital. “Courageous Me” is Michelle Lockey’s 8th album release; a collection of seven Indie Pop/Singer-songwriter tunes that sit at a crossroads between Sheryl Crow, Amy Grant, and Ingrid Michaelson. Lyrical themes follow the artist’s recent journey through painful burnout, doubt, and questioning of whether to continue on her musical path. Honest but hopeful with a dash of sass/attitude, listeners will relate to the open-hearted lyrics and moments of pure celebration. Michelle bends industry stereotypes and blazes a path for aspiring female DIY musicians by lead producing, performing, engineering, and mixing much of this project herself. This album is an example that even the most ambitious, out-of-reach goals can be achieved through hard work, long hours, determination, and the courage to hang on to hope. Opening artists: Jill Koshiol , Jen and Dave Hawley Main act: Michelle Lockey (with the Seneca Creek Church Worship Team) Light efreshments will be provided (Tickets at the door will be $15) for more information on pulmonary hypertenstion: View part of Callie's story here: https://youtu.be/wNsjt4czt3YTo hear Michelle's Courageous me album: https://open.spotify.com/album/7HsOHnxpoauJNsfpFAHuiJ
