MAHWAH, NJ — The township is set to host the annual tree lighting this weekend, and word on the street is a special appearance could be made by the man with the most famous beard in the world. Mahwah's Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, sponsored by the Mahwah Recreation Committee, is scheduled for Sunday at 4:45 pm, at the Mahwah Municipal Building, 475 Corporate Dr. Officials say Santa will arrive promptly at 5 p.m. to light the tree in front of Town Hall. "This fun, outdoor event is free to Mahwah residents and is a great way to get in the holiday spirit," they added.
