High: 64 Low: 35. Here are the top stories in Chattanooga today: The new COVID-19 variant, Omicron, is raising many concerns for travelers at the Chattanooga Airport. People who were traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday have said that they took as many precautions as they could while traveling, and they hope to test negative for the virus upon their arrival home. (WTVC) The Hamilton County School Board is now preparing for its final chapter of the superintendent search. The board has narrowed down the search to three candidates, and the interviews will be taking place over the course of the next week. (WTVC) A Sale Creek mobile home was destroyed by a fire on Sunday morning and the residents' three pet cats died. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sale Creek Fire Marshal but fire officials confirmed the fire started in the kitchen. (The Chattanoogan) Tri-Community fire crews extinguished a residential grass fire on Saturday.
