Teen Injured In Jersey City Hit-And-Run On Duncan Avenue

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Jersey City Police made an arrest in a hit-and-run that left a 15-year-old girl seriously injured on Saturday. An incident was reported at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Delaware and Duncan Avenues and officers were alerted to a second incident nearby on Duncan Avenue where the teen was injured, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. The teen was seriously injured and the car that hit her had left the area, officials said. Officers discovered that a mid-sized sedan hit the teen while she was crossing Duncan Avenue. The officers found the suspected car, found a matching car driving on Condict Street and arrested the driver, Boris Marroquib Solarzano, 30, on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The teen was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where she is being treated for her injuries. Her injuries were critical and life-threatening, according to the HCPO.
