Press release from the Hunterdon County Historical Society:
phyllis hartzell
November 29, 2021
Explore one of Hunterdon County's most beautiful Greek-Revival homes when the Hunterdon County Historical Society reopens the Doric House Museum for tours!
Make sure to visit the museum's second floor Astle-Alpaugh Gallery, which features an exhibit of historic Main Street Flemington photos dating from 1889-1905. The images come from the archival collection of the estate of John F. Schenk and capture the shops, houses, churches and people on Main Street from the turn of the 20th century.
The tours are free, and reservations are suggested — but not required — by emailing [email protected].
