The School District of the Chathams is pleased to welcome you to Kindergarten Registration. We understand that this is a monumental time in a child’s life and we eagerly welcome our future Kindergarten students. The School District of the Chathams will be offering a Full-Day Kindergarten program in the 2022-2023 school year. We are currently evaluating the number of classrooms that will be offered. A decision will be made as soon as possible depending on enrollment numbers and available classroom space. Thank you for your understanding. Please register as usual for the Half-Day Kindergarten program, and when the Full-Day Kindergarten program becomes available, you will be required to register again to be eligible for the lottery. Instructions will be provided at that time. If your child will be age 5 on or before October 1, we ask that you complete the required “Open Registration”, print, complete and upload the registration forms and required documents below before your scheduled appointment. To assist you in this process, please refer to the checklist below. Registration will take place from January 10 to January 21, 2022. To schedule a registration appointment and enter registration info for your child, please use our online Open Registration system. Individual appointments will be scheduled in fifteen minute increments. During your registration appointment, you will be informed of the school that your child will attend in August and be provided information about scheduling an appointment with the school nurse. STEP 1: Download and complete the following forms: Student Health History Form Instructional Support Form Session Preference Form Getting Acquainted Form Health Forms STEP 2: Provide state-required documentation (to be provided by parent or guardian): Birth Certificate or Passport Immunization Records or a Letter of Exemption Proof of Residency (any of the following will apply) - Property lease/property deed or - (2) utility bills or - (1) utility bill and a driver’s license
