THOUSAND PALMS, CA — A woman who was struck by two vehicles and killed on Thanksgiving in Thousand Palms has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau. Christina Humphrey, 47, of Thousand Palms died in a hit-and-run crash reported at 5:26 p.m. at Varner and Ramon roads. The driver of a black Kia Rio stopped, but a silver SUV that also struck Humphrey continued southbound on Varner Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and the coroner's office reported that Humphrey was pronounced dead at the scene just minutes after being hit. No further details were available.
