MILLBRAE, CA — Caltrain's Holiday Train, filled with free entertainment and donation opportunities, returns to the Peninsula this weekend and includes a stop in Millbrae. The train will stop at the Millbrae station at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday. The Holiday Train did not run last year because of the pandemic, but returns this year with visits to nine Caltrain stations from San Francisco to Santa Clara counties. The train will stop at each station for 20 minutes, and people can hop on board to revel with carolers, Santa Claus and more. People are asked to donate new toys or books. Holiday Train ambassadors will be on hand to direct people to donation bins. "We are grateful to the generous Bay Area residents who have donated more than 50,000 toys since the start of this local tradition in 2001," Acting Caltrain Executive Director Michelle Bouchard said. "This event would not be possible without the support from our in-kind sponsors and our staff for helping us provide this magical experience to the communities we serve." The magic has returned! After a brief hiatus the Caltrain Holiday Train is back! The Holiday Train returns December 4th and 5th, along with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and all their helpers!
