Hi everyone im a local foster, my family and i trap and rehabilitate stay kittens and cats. A local non profit organization called pawprints boutique helps us with all our vet visits and spay/neuter, they are a truly great organization. I have two male kittens that were rescued from a local stray cat colony that are all ready for there forever loving homes, i put ads out on numerous websites to find there new loving homes. We do ask a 40 re homing fee to ensure a good home, i was contacted yesterday evening from a women from my Craigslist ad. She had ask about re homing fees and told me she wanted both the kittens! I was so excited that my little boys were gonna go to there forever homes together i cut the price in half and let them both go for 40. When they showed up it was 2 women we did the exchanged they talked about how they were vet techs i felt good about the transaction. I went upstairs to grab there vet paperwork when i came back down i over heard them saying that they might be able to re home them together, when i asked what they were talking about they said they worked for a local organization but were reluctant to say where. I felt on the spot i wasnt sure what was going on all day i thought my kittens were going to a home but now that all changed i was very unsure what was happening, on there way out the door they had said they worked for wags and whiskers. It turns out they came and took out healthy happy kittens to put them in a cage at wags and whiskers to re adopt them for triple the price. We were swindled our hearts were broken if they would have been honest about there plans i would have never let them go. We called them right after they left and after a couple of hours of back and forth on the phone we finally were able to get them to agree to give us our babys back! We picked them up at 630 this morning from the cats house where they sat in a tiny cage all night. These ladies are scamming people for there healthy happy animals just to say they are rescue and adopt them out for triple the price They are doing an injustice to the people and our animals. Please be cautious for these ladies they are scammers.
