LANCASTER, CA — Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly killing his four young children and their grandmother at a suburban Lancaster home. Germarcus David, 29, was booked on suspicion of the murder of his children, all under the age of 12, and his mother-in-law, a woman in her 50s, said Deputy Trina Schrader, also of SIB. Police were called to the home in the 3500 block of Garnet Lane shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Information Bureau. They found a woman with bullet wounds to the upper torso along with four young children — including an infant —all dead from gunshot wounds, Koerner said. The dead children, three boys and a girl, were all under 12 years old. Each of the victims was shot in the upper body, according to SIB Deputy Tony Moore. Authorities withheld the names of the dead, pending notification of their next of kin. David was being held on $2 million bail. Anyone with information was asked to call homicide detectives at 323- 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477). City News Service contributed to this report.
