MAC Adds Streams of "The Nutcracker" & 2021 New Year's Eve shows

The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) is happy to announce the addition of streaming options for this season's presentations of Salt Creek Ballet's "The Nutcracker" and New Philharmonic's "New Year's Eve Concert." A streaming ticket offers one-time access for the household to view performance either a live performance (set date/time) or on demand (available beginning following day). "We are thrilled to be offering live performances at the MAC the season but we also know many audience members last season enjoyed the ease and accessibility of the streaming experience. So, thanks to the incredible COD and MAC staff, are adding streaming tickets for two of our most popular holiday presentations this season," says MAC Director Diana Martinez. Salt Creek Ballet: "The Nutcracker," with Tchaikovsky's Score Performed Live by New Philharmonic, 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18 and 1 and 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19 Theater Tickets: $46 Adult | $36 Youth; Streaming Tickets: $46 per household (Streamed Live Performance 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18; On Demand available 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19 – 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25) New Philharmonic welcomes back Salt Creek Ballet to present a holiday tradition: Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker." This magical full-scale production features accompaniment from New Philharmonic – a rare opportunity to see this magnificent ballet set to live music. New Philharmonic: "New Year's Eve Concerts" 1:30, 5 and 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31 Theater Tickets: $67-$77; Streaming Tickets: $67 per household (Streamed Live Performance 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31; On Demand available 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1 – 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2) Guest Baritone Ted Allen Pickell, last seen by MAC audiences in the New Philharmonic's 2017 sold-out production of "The Mikado," reteams with New Philharmonic and Maestro Muspratt ring in the New Year with a celebratory program of waltzes, polkas, arias, light classical and pops. Pickell has been hailed for his "powerful voice" (CASA Magazine) and "tremendous" singing (San Diego Reader). This concert is sponsored by STG Divorce Law.
