Description
NORTHFIELD, MN — Northfield Public Schools recently learned that it will receive a $288,000 grant to diversify its faculty, according to a report by KYMN Radio.
The grant is part of the Grow Your Own program and will help at least 15 people of color affiliated with the school district to go to school for a teaching license, the radio station said.
The students who get a teaching license through this program are guaranteed an interview, but not a job, after graduation, the report said.
Superintendent Dr. Matt Hillmann told KYMN he is unsure when the program will be implemented.
