Description

Join us as we investigate the historic Boxwood Inn with guest investigators Brian Murray and Richel Stratton from the tv show Ghost Hunters. Originally the former home of Simon R. Curtis, the southern mansion was built in 1897. It was the first dwelling built in Lee Hall Village and is the only 19th century building remaining. Mr. Curtis back then was known as "The Boss Man of Warwick County". The Curtis family was very well known in Warwick County and owned a great deal of land including Mulberry Island (which is now Ft. Eustis Army Base) and End View Plantation. Mr. Curtis designed the house to accommodate his family residence, Hall of Records and Tax Assessor's office, a General Store and the county Post Office. Even though they had many children, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis enjoyed sharing their home with guests and were known to host elegant social events and political gatherings. But is it haunted? It is believed that a little boy and a little girl like to hide in the attic and play with the toys left behind by curious guests and paranormal enthusiasts. It is also believed that Simon Curtis is still handling business in his office and his wife Nannie Curtis can be seen on occasion throughout the bed-n-breakfast. Join us as you investigate the Boxwood Inn with your special guest investigators Brian Murray and Richel Stratton from the tv show Ghost Hunters. Event includes a meet-n-greet, a Q&A session, and a ghost hunt. Prices for this event range from general admission to VIP tickets. VIP tickets will include general admission plus a room of your choosing to spend the evening at the Boxwood Inn with Brian and Richel. Prices will vary due to the price of each room.
