PHOENIX, AZ — Three separate crashes in the city of Phoenix on Sunday left three people dead, according to Phoenix police. Hajric Mirsad, 65, was killed when a sedan headed west on West Northern Avenue is suspected of crossing the median and hitting the mini van that Mirsad was driving, headed in the opposite direction. Another sedan rear-ended the mini van following the initial crash, according to police. The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of West Northern Avenue. Two men, including Mirsad, were taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries, but Mirsad was later pronounced dead, police said. Around 1 a.m. Sunday, Taylor Morrow, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash, according to police. The crash happened in the 700 block of east Jefferson Street. Morrow was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police. Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Leo Montenegro, 45, who was on foot, was struck by an SUV in the 4600 block of North 27th Street, according to police. Montenegro was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
