Veterans, active duty military, and first responders (LEOs, EMS, fire, etc.) are invited to learn the fundamentals of knifemaking. Three-Day Advanced Knife Class This class is for veterans, active duty military, and first responders (LEOs, EMS, fire, etc.) who have attended one or more Black Horse Forge beginner classes and want take their knifemaking skills to the next level. Over the course of three days, you will learn details in the fine art of selecting metal, shaping a blade, beveling, heat treatment, etc. Day 1. Forging and Profiling Day 2. Hardening and Beveling Day 3. Handle making/Fit & Finish Black Horse Forge endeavors to not only be an art therapy program for those who are serving or have served, but also to provide life-long avenues of mental and physical well-being including opportunities to start your own business or simply be the best you can be at blacksmithing/knifemaking.
