Local Family-Owned Glass Company is currently looking for Glazier (Journeymen or Apprentice) to join our team. Our Glaziers are responsible for installing and replacing commercial and residential glass, aluminum storefront frames & entrances, glass handrails, curtain wall framing, glass & mirror walls, and installation of glass showers. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation & replacement of commercial glass, aluminum storefront frames & entrances, glass handrails, curtain wall framing, and glass & mirror walls, and installation of glass showers. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position should be able to demonstrate the following abilities to qualify as a suitable applicant: Experience in commercial glass with the job duties as described above. One who is organized, responsible, and extremely reliable. We are looking for individuals who can work independently and as a part of a team. Ability to follow instructions both verbally & written during project assignments. Possess your own glazing tools (glass cup, hand tools, etc.). Strong familiarity with OSHA safety standards. Must understand blueprints, excellent with a tape measure, and exact measurements. Have a clean driving record. And pass a drug test. Preferably three to five years of Glazing experience. Positive and professional attitude. ABILITIES: Manage multiple projects, work well under pressure, and have excellent time management. Work in a team environment as well as independently. Strict attention to detail and processes. Strong customer service skills. Ability to be successful in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment. WORKING CONDITIONS Regular lifting of materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Daily working with hands. Frequent walking, standing, & kneeling. Reading, comprehending, writing, performing calculations, communicating orally, reasoning, and analyzing.
