Immediate need for part time workers to run brewery packaging line. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Accountable always for personal safety as well as the safety of those around them. • Alerts management personnel immediately to potential quality concerns. • Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and the company. • Maintains a high level of initiative, independence, and productivity in a dynamic and demanding environment. • Operating the canning line, including setup, managing supplies, stocking, pulling finished product off the line, troubleshooting, palletizing, cleaning, and sanitizing. • Operating the keg filling machine, including cleaning, sanitizing, and filling kegs, palletizing and storing full kegs, and troubleshooting. • Stocking and organizing the cooler, as well as other general organization, movement, and handling of supplies, materials, and products. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Knowledge of CIP and change over practices for packaging machines • Experience in a beverage packaging facility • Familiarity with the process of craft brewing (preferred) • Self-motivated, clean, thorough, and passionate about serving world-class beer. MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: • Computer automation systems • Cleaning and sanitizing chemicals • Pumps, hoses, valves, clamps, gaskets, and other brewery equipment • Forklift, pallet jack, and similar industrial equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb. • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • The work environment is usually that of a brewery. • The employee occasionally works with hazardous materials. • The employee works on wet floors and with wet equipment. • The employee frequently must work in a sanitary environment.
