The primary responsibilities of the Morning Maintenance position are to maintain the Club’s aesthetic appearance, including the eighteen tennis courts ensuring that they are ready for use during the designated hours, perform daily janitorial duties including mopping of floors, cleaning and upkeep of restrooms, sidewalks, parking lots, and other general maintenance duties. Employee: Will be provided a checklist of duties to be performed daily. Will work with the Club Manager and Tennis Director to ensure work is performed to expectations. Shall maintain an organized, safe maintenance area, as well as an inventory of commonly used items so that there is no delay in repairs or basic maintenance. This includes nuts, bolts, nails, gloves, cleaning supplies, etc. Must be able to maintain focus while working independently Must be willing to learn court maintenance including irrigation systems, wind curtains, water-timers, roller & brush assembly and clay maintenance. Must have ability to evaluate and recommend action required for the maintenance of club grounds and equipment Must work with Pro Shop staff, in a positive way, to ensure proper procedures are being completed and facility is prepared for each day’s arrival of members and their guests. Communicate verbally and/or in writing to ensure maintenance is being completed. Work with Club Manager if adjustments with part time staffing must be made. Ensure high quality of work each day. Shall remain in good physical shape with ability to lift, carry, reach, and pull. Must have ability to climb, kneel, push, and stretch as necessary Must wear protective gear including mask, gloves, ear protection, etc. to ensure proper personal safety. Must be able to problem solve and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Will be responsible for attending staff meetings as deemed necessary by the Club Manager Will be responsible for reporting any unusual occurrences, problems or concerns to the Club Manager and/or Tennis Director in a timely manner. shall notify the Club Manager of potential risks to members and visitors and shall advise on the reduction of said risk Shall provide excellent customer service to include answering questions of members and board members, as well as any other visitors to the premises, including greeting of delivery drivers and directing them where to go on the property Must have reliable transportation to/from the club **Must be able to pass background check and drug test. Job Type: Part-time - 20 hours per week Salary: $10.00 to $12.00 /hour
