Help Wanted: Mechanic for Ford Trucks, Skid Steer Loaders, and Equipment Landscaping, tree care and snow plowing equipment including trucks, trailers, skid steers, chippers, grinders, snow plows, etc. Full time employment: Normal hours 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, winter hours may vary due to snow plowing services. Company benefits include: Healthcare, paid vacation/holidays, uniform rental, 401k retirement plan. Entry level pay based on knowledge and experience starting at $28.00 to $32.00/hr. For Additional Job Description Information See Below: MECHANIC: TRUCK/EQUIPMENT/SMALL ENGINE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Driving, equipment operation, diagnose, repair, service or maintain vehicles, trailers, skid steer loaders, lawn mowers, equipment, and tools, including diesel and gasoline engines, power train, brakes, electrical, hydraulic operations, tire changing, etc. Rebuild engines and equipment. Shop maintenance and repairs, light painting, body work, and fabricating. Snow removal, follow safety procedures, report truck or equipment problems, follow instructions, wear necessary safety protection, practice safe work habits, follow company rules, policies and any other assigned duties. SKILLS/ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Communication, computer operation, math, writing skills, basic comprehension, judgment and decision making skills, speak and/or understand English and some Spanish. Understands and follows instructions, welding, operate equipment and tools. Walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying 50-90 lbs. short distance, full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time, seeing and color perception, hearing, touching, including dexterity and use of feet, hands and fingers, climbing, ability to mount and dismount equipment or trucks, able to reach above shoulders, able to work alone or with others, working outside in extreme hot or cold temperatures, or in loud, wet, dry, and dirty environment. EDUCATION/TRAINING: College degree 2-4 year truck/equipment/small engine or five years experience as apprentice under certified mechanic. CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Valid Illinois Driver's License ASE Certified Mechanic or equivalent The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
