Professional Pallbearer Job Posting Description Gallogly Family Funeral Homes is seeking someone to assist in funeral services. Must be able to work some nights and some weekends. Professional attire is a must. The Professional Pallbearer will be responsible for: • Assisting funeral director/embalmer with transportation of human remains. • Assisting in moving casketed deceased. • Driving and washing funeral home vehicle fleet. • Running errands such as for floral delivery, picking up of supplies, documents, etc. • Assisting in the daily cleaning, maintenance and organization of the funeral home. • Preparing for services to include delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other personal keepsakes of client families; ensuring proper care and storage of any of these items. • Obtaining information needed to complete legal documents, such as death certificates or burial permits. • Preparing memorial stationary such as prayer cards and register book. • Greeting and receiving client families and/or other persons entering the office for information and assistance. Requirements: • High school diploma or some college experience. • Maintain a professional and appropriate appearance. • Dressed (Suit) in a professional manner. • Proficient with Microsoft Office. • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. • Professional behavior.
