Location of work: At customer –109 S. Halsema Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220 Work Hours: Base: 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday Other: Expect customer to occasional need assistance on weekends day or evening. Also, there may be other projects that occur from time to time. Compensation: Base pay is $15/per hour. Overtime pay is at a rate of 1.5 times base pay for hours work more than 40 hours in a calendar week. Overtime pay rate applies to all hours worked on a Saturday, Sunday or typical holiday. Personal Needs, Skills, Qualifications: • Ability to perform physical labor for 8-12 hours a day with appropriate breaks for rest and food • Possess adequate fitness and stamina in order to conduct physically demanding tasks • Perform tasks that require walking, climbing or standing for long periods of time • Ability to stoop, bend, stretch, twist or reach with body, arms and legs. • Must be comfortable working around loud equipment. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Ability to work while in a harness at heights over 4 feet • Ability to lift 50 pounds (23 Kg) to shoulder height • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to understand basic English language instructions • Reliable transportation • Ability to use clean up tools including but not limited to a water hose, shovel, brooms, etc. • Possess adequate fitness and stamina in order to conduct physically demanding tasks • Arrive on time and stay on task to contribute to the customer’s production goals • Ability to work in an industrial environment and as part of a team • Job requires individual to get dirty Job Description • General - Cleanup of lumber mill in the evenings • Responsible for cleaning up dry and wet bark fragments, sawdust and wood chips, broken boards, etc. • Use air guns to blow debris out of tight spaces, use air guns to move material to piles • Shovel and or sweep up wood debris (bark fragments, sawdust and wood chips) and make into neat and organized piles. Material may need to be moved by wheelbarrow • Use your hands to clean out areas as needed • Sweep concrete floor, clean and wipe down handrails and signs • Use air guns to blow debris out of tight spaces, use air guns to move material to piles • Assist with cleaning wood debris from machines and interior flooring • Potentially operator equipment such as a powered floor sweeper, Bobcat or a small forklift. • Other occasional projects include clean up blitzes when the mill is not operating to remove items from under equipment, blow down ceiling and walls, power wash walls and concrete flooring, degrease equipment and industrial painting by hand • Potential to responsibly perform fire watch to support the customer and contractors. • You may be asked to support clean up crews at other customer locations • Perform any other tasks assigned by your Lead person or Supervisor Safety Needs: • Lace up, steel toe shoes that extend above the ankles • Reflective safety vest • Hard hat • Headlight on hard hat • Safety classes • Hearing protection • Work gloves • Lockout/tag out locks • Ability to understand and follow customer’s safety rules regarding lockout/tag out of energy sources (with assistance from customer) • Never enter a restricted area • Use proper lifting technique when pushing, pulling and lifting with legs and not your back • Never approach a saw or rotating equipment when it is operating Employer: You will be employed by First Coast Industrial Service, LLC.
