Whether you want to take an all day drive down the Skyline Drive or are ready for some back-country camping along the Appalachian Train, this park has everything for everyone. Professional landscape photographer Scott Turnmeyer calls Shenandoah National Park home, only living a few miles from the quiet and peaceful entrance in Front Royal, VA. Scott has spent countless hours in the park photographing sunrises, sunsets, waterfalls, wildlife and so much more. He knows the lay of the land, the best photo spots, how the weather moves and changes, timing of the sun and moon, and so much more. He now offers his experience and guidance to everyone with the photography passion or interest. Scott offers multiple photography workshops within Shenandoah National Park each year. Everything from the long and more strenuous multi-mile hikes to the shoot location, to the drive sunsets or sunrises at only the best overlooks in the park. Scott has it all planned out and something for everyone. Each workshop consists of a different experience, and with weather, seasons and wildlife changes, no two workshops are ever the same. Each workshop has 2 guides, both CPR certified and permitted to run tours within the Shenandoah National Park. Scott is there the entire time to help you with composition, camera settings, light painting (night workshops) and much more. He is happy to share his expertise to help you get amazing photos.
